We know we can't please everyone all of the time but most of our guests are very happy with us most of the time. Here's what they have to say. Since I was here last time they have put in a new kitchen. Liam Morley the chef is crazy but a really good cook. Everyone is using the kitchen now and cooking. I missed out on the Sunday roast but heard it was fantastic. Rooftop is still great - looking forward to coming back next time in summer. Its GR8! Saw a lot of tough reviews of this hostel. Check it out yourself! Its bustling, cheap, fantastic location, cleaned everyday it just needed a spruce up which management are taking care of but largely its ppl that make a place messy- they're updating the carpets/rooms etc to make it cleaner+not smelly. Staff have been really friendly+helpful. Not a place for 'families' but if you are after somewhere with a bit of bustle+party people that are easy going this is an awesome hostel 2get to. i originally booked the wrong 2 nights but i rang up and spoke to them and they simply moved my stay back a day at no extra charge or hassle. I also got a free upgrade to a 6 bed instead of 8 when i arrived, the room was cleaned throughly and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, one of the best in Sydney. There's a good vibe between the guests too. The only downers are that the lifts takes ages to reach your floor and it smells of bleach, but hey at least its clean! I dont know what all the complaining is about...its a hostel full of backpackers looking to have a good time, which I did! Its in a party central place of Sydney, so Im not sure what some people expect! If your looking to have fun and party come here...if you want to sit in and read a book then dont! Met loads of friendly people and would definately reccomend The hostel was a brilliant place to meet people and had lots of activities and free stuff. Rooms were cleaned everyday and they were in the process of painting the rooms when I stayed. The lift was a little slow and they need some new carpets on some of the landings but thats the only bad point! This hostel was exactly what I was looking for....cheap, fun, clean and in a brilliant location near city centre! There was something fun organised every night and there was a brilliant atmosphere in the hostel the people were the best i've met all trip. The room was cleaned everyday and we even got free internet for staying in the hostel. I wish this was not on my last day of my trip. I would reccomend to any traveller who is after a good time and to meet new people. Cheap! The best place if you are looking for the cheapest with fun people from all over the world Cleanliness is not a strenght but it´s not so bad i´M VERY HAPPY WITH ATTENTION recommended for YOUNG PEOPLE WITH LOW BUDGET Thanks The room was great having an en-suite and the kitchen is a good size as they have just had an extension for a dining area. The staff are always on reception which is good and always helpful. The other guests are brilliant there is always something going on. Our room was very clean and tidy and we were really happy about our stay. The location is very good, you can walk to the city centre and tourist attractions like the opera.flo_pietz3193, Germany, 31st March 2010 Good hostel and great value for money, especially as you can quite often work for a couple of hours and get your bed for free. 12 bed dorm is good - divided into 2 sets of 6 so it feels quite cosy. The only negative thing is the elevator, it is up and running but realy slow. The reception staff were a bit crabby at times, but everyone else was fantastic. U will not get much sleep though, so if you are looking for a place to relax, this is a wrong address. A fridge and air con is in every room! I liked this place!
